Teacher's Learning for All Academy
August 13-17, 2007
People who are attending
the Response to Intervention session on Wed. and have Palms, please
bring them.
Individual letters are being prepared and will be mailed by July 31to
notify Learning for All Academy participants of assigned sessions.
Sessions will run from 8:30 - 3:30 August 13-17. Coffee, rolls and fruit
will be provided at Alpine Lodge at 8:00 each morning. Lunches will also
be provided.
The academy was OKed for WVU credit.
The cost of the course is $130.00.The teachers need to complete a registration form that can be
downloaded at: http://www.elearn.wvu.edu/Registration/admission/ProfDev.pdf
Teachers should complete both sides of the form and mail it to the address on the top of the form. They should attach check payment to the form or there is a space provided for credit card payment.
Teachers need to register as soon as possible. The course is at the end of WVU's summer semester.

The Learning for All Academy is an opportunity for teachers to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Preston County Schools’ initiatives through presentations, book studies, dialogue with other educators, and hands-on activities. Throughout the Academy, the various presentations and activities will emphasize ways of integrating knowledge into classroom practices. Special attention will be given to newly adopted programs. Participants will also be provided strategies to build trust with students, reduce classroom conflict, and better manage student behaviors that can be challenging.
