2010-2011 Staff Development Directory
(activities listed are current as of July 13, 2010, additional sessions will be announced as identified)
Established Continuing Education days in the 2010-2011 school calendar are August 16, August 17 and June 9.
Make-up or additional sessions must be approved by the immediate administrator in advance of the session date. Eighteen hours of staff development must be completed by full time employees (nine for part-time) between July 1, 2010 and June 9, 2011. A minimum of twelve hours must be completed prior to January 1, 2011. Recognizing the amount and opportunity for staff development (including ISE days and professional meetings), it is conceived many employees will complete in excess of the minimum eighteen hours. All employees should cite on their Staff Development Contract (to be submitted with the completion of their 2010-2011 sessions) all staff/professional development programs they attended this year.
Routine morning sessions are from 8:30 to 11:30. Afternoon sessions are from 12:30 to 3:30. These are rated as 3 hour sessions. Full day (6 hour) sessions are from 8:30 to 3:30
Please refer to your immediate supervisor regarding additional job-sustaining programs relevant to your position.
