A. Free Textbooks for Students on Free or Reduced Meals
The Preston County Board of Education shall provide, at no cost to the parents, the textbooks, workbooks and other consumables that are an essential part of the school program. Parents are required to complete and sign the textbook receipt form at the time books are distributed.
B. Lost/Destroyed Textbooks
The parents of a student who loses or destroys a textbook belonging to the Preston County Board of Education shall be liable for the value of the replacement book.
C. General Teaching Supplies and Library Resources
The board shall annually determine an allocation for general teaching supplies and library resources which shall be distributed on a per-student basis. The school principal shall be responsible for the distribution of these funds to the various programs in his/her school.
