Policy 2-14 - Evaluation of Superintendent

ADMINISTRATION

Evaluation of the management of the school system is essential and is a basic requirement of the board. The evaluation of the Superintendent by the school board shall be based upon the effectiveness of his leadership and the accomplishment of reasonable objectives and goals outlined in advance. Such evaluation shall be in written form by consensus of the board and by some mutually agreeable method.

This evaluation shall have as its primary goal the improvement of management in the school system and shall be approached on the basis of open cooperation between the board and superintendent.

The school board and superintendent shall annually discuss the performance of the superintendent.
