A. Generally
The school board shall adopt and maintain under continuous review a system of compensation for administrators that is based upon the responsibilities of the position, the employee's experience, and progressive growth in meeting the responsibilities of the position.
The term "administrator" shall apply to those positions which, in the judgement of the superintendent, involve managerial duties (line or staff).
The term "supervisor" shall apply to the professional educator who, whether by this or other appropriate title, is responsible for working primarily in the field with professional and/or other personnel in instructional and other school improvement.
B. Initial Placement
The initial placement of an individual upon the administrative-supervisory salary schedule shall take into consideration:
2. Maintenance of the equilibrium of the present scale or of the relationship with other similar positions of comparable responsibilities;
3. Recommendation of the superintendent;
4.. Degree(s)/salary classification held.
The annual advancement of an individual upon the salary schedule shall depend on the following criteria:
1. Changes in the state or local salary scale;
2. Position level;
3. Degree(s)/salary classification held;
4. Recommendation of the superintendent.
