The school board shall hold its statutory meeting on the first Monday in July every even -year. The board shall at this meeting do the following.
A. Elect one of its members as president;
B. Elect one of its members as vice-president;
C. Fix the time and place for holding regular meetings for ensuing year;
D. To transact other business that properly comes before the board or that may be required by law.
