Preston County Board of Education Meeting Schedule

The Preston County Board of Education meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. The meetings are held in the Board of Education office at the Preston High campus.

Items to be placed on the agenda for board action should be submitted to the board office well in advance of the scheduled meeting. However, any group or individual may address the Board of Education by signing up at the meeting prior to the 7:00 P.M. start. Keep in mind that the longer our staff has to research a given item, the more likely there will be a successful resolution of that item at the board meeting.

If you have a question or an issue in need of resolution, your first resource should always be that individual closest to the issue -- in most cases the classroom teacher or principal. If you are unable to satisfactorily resolve the issue at this level, you should phone and/or arrange a meeting with the Superintendent. If you still find no successful resolution, you are encouraged to ask to be placed on the agenda to address the Board of Education with your concern. A more formal avenue for dealing with citizen concerns is outlined in West Virginia Board of Education Policy 7211, Appeals Procedure for Citizens.
